The Villa

A house with its own rhythm

Villa Sea Breeze is arranged across three levels, so the stay unfolds gradually. You do not enter one large room and understand everything at once. The house reveals itself in small movements, from terrace to sauna, from kitchen to balcony, from the bedroom window towards the sea.

The lower level is for arrival, warmth and afterglow. The glassed terrace and sun deck bring the outside close, while the living space gives room for reading, music, conversation or an extra sleeping place on the sofa bed. From here, the bathroom and shower lead into the private sauna, turning the end of the day into something simple and physical. Heat, water, clean towels, cool air outside.

The middle level carries the daily life of the stay. The kitchen is fully equipped for unhurried cooking, with a dining table for slow meals and a balcony for morning air, evening light or grilling when the weather invites it. This is the floor for coffee, plans, maps, open windows and the small domestic rituals that make a place feel like your own for a while.

Upstairs, the bedroom and small library nook make the villa quieter again. A small window from the bed gives a glimpse towards the sea, and blackout curtains soften the long northern summer nights. In winter, the room feels more sheltered, with the wind and cold kept outside and the house holding its warmth.

The design is simple, but not empty. Soft textiles, books, games, natural tones and practical details give the villa its character. It is made for comfort without excess, for guests who notice light on fabric, the sound of wind outside, the pleasure of a well-equipped kitchen and the difference a private sauna makes after a day in Hailuoto.

Villa Sea Breeze is arranged across three levels, with stairs between the living area, kitchen floor and bedroom. It is best suited to guests who are comfortable moving between floors.

The villa is part of a quiet group of red coastal holiday homes in Sumppu. Your sauna, terrace, balcony and living spaces are private to your stay, while parking and waste facilities belong to the shared holiday-home area.

Linen and towels are included for Airbnb guests. Final cleaning is included, but guests are asked to take out their own rubbish, wash dishes and return furniture to its place before leaving.

Where the villa sits

Villa Sea Breeze is located in Sumppu, close to Marjaniemi on the western side of Hailuoto. The setting is quiet and coastal, with red holiday homes, sandy paths, grasses, forest edges and the open Bothnian Bay nearby. The shore is only a short walk away, reached along an easy sand path.

Marjaniemi gives the area its maritime character. The iconic lighthouse, small harbour, coastal viewpoints, cafés, seasonal dining and nature trails are close enough to become part of everyday life during the stay. You can walk there by beach, forest route or boardwalk, with the landscape changing according to wind, light and season.

Hailuoto is known for long sandy shores, land uplift coastline, migrating birdlife, traditional fishing culture and wide northern skies. It is a strong place for walking, cycling, photography, birdwatching and simply spending time outside without needing to move quickly.

Oulu is within reach by ferry and car for guests who want restaurants, museums, exhibitions, music or the European Capital of Culture programme in 2026. The value of the location is the combination. You can experience northern culture and return to an island landscape shaped by sea, space and sauna.
